VIZCAYA IS THE EXCLUSIVE IMPORTER OF GRACE KOSHU WINE:
Grace Koshu
The fine and delicate characteristics of the wine makes it the perfect match with all kinds of Japanese cuisine.
This is attested in various occasions in London in the past two years by the critical acclaims Grace Koshu received during wine events attended by well-known food and wine critics.
Grace Koshu is also referred to as a representative wine of Japan in the 5th edition of the The World Atlas of Wine, co-authored by the veritable Hugh Johnson OBE and Jancis Robinson OBE, MW.
Resting on its lees for five months before bottling, which gives an extra dimension of richness, and which enables the preservation of its delicate aromas. The fine and delicate characteristics of the wine makes it the perfect match with all kinds of Japanese cuisine.
The wine has long been recognized overseas for its food matching potential with Japanese cuisine, and was touted as a representative wine of Japan by Jancis Robinson, MW. The wine emphasizes fruitiness, freshness and a well-defined acidity.
Tasting Notes:
Bright, clear, pale lemon yellow with a green tinge. On the nose was an impression of youth, with primary aromas of green apple, white peach, white fig leaves and white pepper. Smooth on the palate, dry, refreshing acidity, with a tint of gentle fruity sweetness, all well-integrated together. A cool, fresh, refreshing transparent wine. (Tasting notes by Katsunori Kaneko.)

Tasting Notes:
Bright pale lemon yellow. The nose showed aromas of golden delicious apple and white peaches, with hints of chive and leek and a subdued white pepper spicy character. Fresh soft fruit flavour and lively acidity spread across the palate, with a hint of bitterness at the back originated from grape skin. An approachable dry wine which exemplifies the flavours of Koshu. (Tasting notes by Katsunori Kaneko.)
